The corrugated pipe valve will be worn in general situation. For the diaphragm valve, once it is worn, it must be changed. As far as know, its operation time depends on the relevant production process. On one side, many factors such as the corrosion of the flowing medium, the clearing for the pipe, the temperature for sterilization, working pressure will influence the service time. On the other side, the deformation of the septum also can decide the valve's time for usage.

Thirdly, durability. Most diaphragm valves do not be destroyed during operation. Instead, they are destroyed by the mechanical compression. Although the diaphragm valve has different flexible classes, different coatings and PTFE frame covers, all of the valves still will be worn by the inside medium. Therefore, it is necessary to often change the valve in the sterile process. But the corrugated pipe valve need not be often changed and it can be used for many production processes.
