Maintenance, installation, and use of diaphragm valves
Maintenance, installation, and use of diaphragm valves
Diaphragm valve is a special form of shut-off valve, and the opening and closing component of the diaphragm valve is a diaphragm made of soft material, which separates the inner cavity of the valve body from the inner cavity of the valve cover and the driving components, hence the name diaphragm valve. The main Diaphragm Valve product names of China Diaphragm Valves Network include:Reciprocating-type Pneumatic Diaphragm Valve,Straight-through Fluorine Lined Visual Glass,Three-way Diaphragm Valve,Vertical Fluorine Lined Check Valve,Wafer Fluorine Lined Butterfly Valve,Y-type Fluorine Lined FilterY-type Manual Rubber Lined Diaphragm Valve,Y-type Rubber Lined, Fluorine Lined Globe Valve
Precautions for maintenance, installation, and use of diaphragm valves:
1. Diaphragm valves should be stored in a dry and ventilated room, and stacking is strictly prohibited.
2. The two ends of the passage of the inventory diaphragm valve must be sealed to prevent foreign objects from entering the inner cavity and damaging the sealing components. And should avoid contact with oil or other flammable materials.
3. The metal processing surface of the diaphragm valve should be cleaned of dirt and coated with anti rust oil. The oil cup needs to be regularly filled with lubricating grease.
4. Do not apply grease or other substances on the surface of the lining rubber layer or rubber diaphragm to prevent rubber swelling and affect the service life of the valve.
During storage or disuse, the handwheel should be rotated counterclockwise to keep the valve in a slightly open state, avoiding the diaphragm from losing its elasticity due to long-term compression.
During transportation or installation, the sling must not be tied to the handwheel or valve stem. It is strictly prohibited to collide with other metal or hard objects to prevent damage to parts and lining.
7. Before installation, carefully check whether the operating conditions and medium of the pipeline are consistent with the scope of application of this valve, to avoid unnecessary losses and even accidents caused by improper selection.
8. Except for being unsuitable for use in vacuum pipelines, it can be installed at any position in the pipeline for bidirectional flow, but the convenience of operation and maintenance should be ensured.
Before installation, the inner cavity of the valve body should be cleaned to prevent dirt from blocking or damaging the sealing components, and check whether the connecting bolts of each component are evenly distributed and tightened.
10. During operation, it is necessary to regularly inspect the components in contact with the medium and replace vulnerable parts according to actual usage.
When replacing the diaphragm, be careful not to tighten or loosen it too tightly.
12. When applied to intermittent operation pipelines, the parts in contact with the medium should be cleaned during the shutdown period to extend the service life.
13. When manually operating the diaphragm valve, do not use auxiliary levers to open or close the valve, in order to avoid excessive torque that may damage the driving parts or sealing parts.
14. After maintenance, the diaphragm valve must undergo a sealing test according to relevant testing regulations before installation.
