2010-12-20

diaphragm valve on your sprinkler may sometimes cause you trouble. You will find that knowing how to troubleshoot it will help you to be able to fix it much sooner. There are multiple things that could be causing your sprinkler system issues. Luckily, many of them can be easily fixed and do not require you to have to know a lot about the system except what to look for.

You will find that if the water does not shut off for your sprinkler, then there are a few different things that could be causing this. You will first want to check to see if the diaphragm is blocked. The best and easiest way for you to do this is to unscrew the bonnet screws. Completely remove the bonnet as well as the cap that goes over the diaphragm valve. Take a good look at the filter. You may just need to clean it and replace the diaphragm. However, you may need to also replace the filter. If it looks as though it is something that you can easily clean, then try this before attempting to replace it.
